Richard Steve Wilkes, age 62, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Wilkes was born on December 12, 1955, in Rockhill, South Carolina to the late Richard and Jean Dove Wilkes. He worked as a machinist for Gulf States installing steel metal buildings for over 12 years. Mr. Wilkes was a beloved father and husband.

Mr. Wilkes is survived by his wife- Deborah Wilkes of Columbus, MS; daughter- Stephanie Smith of Steens, MS; son- Jason Wilkes of Columbus, MS; and grandchildren- Rylee Kate Smith and Richard Deegan Smith.
