Ricky Lynn Adkins, 65, of Columbus, MS, passed away September 6, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- GT.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Robin Elmore officiating. Interment will be at Springhill Cemetery, Millport, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.
Mr. Adkins was born on March 19, 1060, to the late Sarah Burns Adkins. He worked for Johnny Holliman Remodeling as a carpenter and painter. Mr. Adkins loved to fish, camp, travel, cooking and especially loved spending time with his granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son- Ricky Lewis Adkins, brothers- Ronnie Adkins, Terry Adkins, Joseph Adkins; sister- Charlotte Prater and uncle- Roy Burns.
Mr. Adkins is survived by his wife- Lisa Ellis Adkins; step-son- Zachery Glidewell; sister- Mary (Rick) Price; granddaughter- Gabby Adkins; two special aunts- Doris Daniel, Dorothy Burns; a host of nieces and nephews; and best friend- Johnny Holliman, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Adkins, John Adkins, Joey Adkins, Matthew Thornbrough, Timothy Adkins, Zachery Glidewell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Price, Johnny Holliman, Jr.
