Ricky Edge Ricky Eugene Edge, 53 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at his residence. Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:00-7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Memorial service will be Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS, with Corps Sgt/Major Alton Ming officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Edge was born January 8, 1959 in Sumter, SC to the late Romely B. and Ethel Mae Jackson Edge. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS and worked fifteen years for Union IBEW 917 in Meridian, MS as an electrician. Mr. Edge enjoyed fishing, collecting knives, reading, and gardening. In addition to his parents, Mr. Edge is also preceded in death by his brother, Kermit L. Jenrette. Mr. Edge was survived by his daughters – Angie (Joey) Cotton, Carthage, MS and Rickie (Justin) Smith, Columbus, MS; brother – Romely Edge, Gallatin, TN; sisters – Jean Howell, Columbus, MS and Patricia Leeny, Gallatin, TN: Grandchildren – Tyler Cotton and David Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Joey Cotton, Jeff Gordy and Woody Howell.
