Rita Faye Jackson, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025 at the age of 69 in Macon, MS.

Born on October 20, 1955, to the Kenneth and Dorothy Garner, Rita spent her life exemplifying love, strength, and kindness to her 3 brothers.

Rita is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Randy Jackson; their 3 children: Nicole Staples, Rachel Jackson, and Nicolas (Leighanne) Jackson; her mother, Dorothy Garner, her brother, Ricky Garner; and 13 grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy.

Rita is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Garner, and brothers, Gary and David Garner.

Rita's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family; she was a dedicated daycare owner who was lovingly known as "Nana" to countless children who were fortunate to be in her care.  Her home was a haven of love, laughter, and learning, where she created lasting memories for all who entered.

Rita's family was her greatest treasure and she instilled in them the values of compassion and resilience.

Rita's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.  Her infectious smile, unwavering support, and boundless love will be remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of Rita's life will be held at a later time with her immediate family present.

Rita will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
