Robbie Farr Wingo, 95 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Windsor Place, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Friday, September 14, 2012 at 4pm at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Rev. Don Both officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Wingo was born February 26, 1917 in Detroit, AL to the late James Robert and Mary Isabelle "Belle" Crisp Farr. She moved to Lowndes County 80 years ago from Detroit, AL and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Churc h, Ridge Road, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Wingo loved working in her yard, especially tending her flowers. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husbands- Covington Matt "Boots" Jones and Avery "Buster" Wingo. Mrs. Wingo is survived by her daughter-Betty Jo Stokes, Columbus, MS, brother- Charles " Buck" Farr, Columbus, MS, sister-Frances Farr, Columbus, MS, grandchildren-Walter "Butch" (Lilianna) Stokes, Gary (Johnalee) Stokes and Kay (Billy) Heath, 10 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Mt. Zion Church, Cumberland Presbyterian Church and First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Columbus, MS.
