Robert Gale Baltzley Sr., 81, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Aurora Health and Rehabilitation Center, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Baltzey was born on October 15, 1938, in Des Moines, IA to the late Mildred and Glen Jacon Baltzey. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, and going camping. Mr. Baltzey loved spending time with his family. He served in the United States Army, was a bus driver, an EMT, and was a volunteer firefighter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baltzey is preceded in death by 12 siblings and 2 grandchildren.

Mr. Baltzey is survived by his wife of 62 years- Betty Lincoln Baltzey of Columbus, MS; sons- Robert Baltzey, Jr., Jeff Baltzey, Christopher Baltzey, Brian Baltzey, and Kenneth Baltzey; daughters- Penny Hadley, and Teresa Goodin; 22 grandchildren,  20 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
