Robert Lawrence Daniel, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Black officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Daniel was born January 20, 1933, to the late James Lawrence and Mildred "Bud" Oliver Daniel in Cairo, IL. He was a Project Manager for Kerr-McGee and a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife-Mary Daniel; sons-Theodore Daniel, Darrell Reed, Keenan Lynn Traveny; and daughter-Diane Coke.

Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife-Lillie Frances Burks Daniel, Columbus, MS; daughters-Vivian (William) Hinchcliffe, Bluffton, SC; Athena Kim Ferguson, Guin, AL; and Melinda Dawn Callahan, Hinesville, GA; sons-Dale Daniel, Chapmansboro, TN; Edward Reed, Douglasville, GA; and James (Katrina) Bryant, Phelan, CA; brother-William (Margie) Daniel, Collinsville, IL; sister-Alice (Leroy) Reeves, Collinsvill, IL;  brother-in-law-Donald Burks, Corsicana, TX; 26 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Andrews, Doug Colvin, John Longmire, Marcus Stone, John David East, Terry Hiles, John Halechko, and James Siegle.
