Robert Earl Davis, 58 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 14, 2013, at 1 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Bruce Morgan officiating. Mr. Davis was born June 18, 1954, in Columbus, MS to the late Clyde Harris and Kathleen Parr Davis. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS and a member of New Covenant Assembly, Columbus, MS. Mr. Davis retired in 2010 as an operations supervisor for the Columbus Light and Water Department after 32 years of service. He enjoyed helping friends and family and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his brother – Jimmy Davis and sister – Mary Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife – Cheryl Gregory Davis, Columbus, MS; sons – Brad (Danielle) Davis, Shreveport, LA, Greg (Allison) Davis, San Antonio, TX, Blaine (Magen) Davis, Columbus, MS; daughter – Kayla Davis, Columbus, MS; sisters – Pat McWhirter, The Villages, FL, Susie Eads, The Villages, FL, Glenda Easterday, Dandridge, TN, Donna Mann, Columbus, MS; and grandchildren – Natalie Rose Davis and John Easton Davis.
