Robert Steven DeSmidt, 62, of Caledonia, MS passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019, at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday, June 21, 2019, from 2-4 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. DeSmidt was born March 15, 1957, in Muskegan, MI to the late Doris Custard and Robert W DeSmidt. He was a lifetime member of DAV, a member of the American Legion. Mr. DeSmidt was an avid hunter. He worked for Fairway Ice, Parker Sand, and Gravel, CFC Transportation. Mr. DeSmidt served in the United States Air Force for 17 years as a Fuel Specialist.

Mr. DeSmidt is survived by his sons- Robby DeSmidt, and Curtis (Philesa) DeSmidt; grandchildren- Jonathan DeSmidt, Tyler DeSmidt, Kristina DeSmidt, Lakelan DeSmidt, and Kyleigh Lewis; great-grandchildren— Sawyer Lewis, and Addy Kate Lewis; sisters- Sandra (Frank) Verhoven, and Cindy (Cal) Seaver; special friend- Bea DeSmidt.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan DeSmidt, Tyler DeSmidt, Dennis Waldrop, Chris Waddell, Trey Lewis, and Charlie Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Huxford.
