Robert Lewis Harris, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

No services will be held at this time. Lowndes Funeral Home and Crematory, Columbus, MS is entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Harris was born on September 8, 1937, in St. Louis, MO to the late Dorothy Hughes Hawes and William Harris. He was a member of20th SFG in the MSARNG. Mr. Harris loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his dogs, and birds. He loved living out by Tibbee Creek. Mr. Harris served in the Mississippi National Guard for 39 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his brothers- Willie Lee Harris, Charles Harris, and an Infant Harris; and his sisters- Stella Sanders, Cecilia Harris, Carey Sue Channell, and Mary Channell.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife- Patricia "Pat" Evans Harris of Columbus, MS; sons- Shane Harris, and Robert (Marjory) Harris; daughter- Heather (Thomas) Formisano; stepchildren- Nick (Gena) Salvaggio, Vick Salvaggio, Sherri (Dr. Scott) Hill, and  Kerri Donnely; grandchildren- Tyler Harris, Alexis Harris, Devan Carmichael, Kimberly Abels, Joseph Harris, Summer Harris, Claire Formisano, and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
