Robert Charles "Mac" McCollum, age 89, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Columbus, MS at 2:30 PM.

Mr. McCollum was born on February 3, 1929, in Shuqualak, MS to the late Robert Lee and Lucille Moore Miller McCollum. He was the owner and worked as a Barber for 32 years at Fairlane Barber Shop. Mr. McCollum was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Columbus, MS. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in West Point, MS, he volunteered with Contact Help Line, and Baptist Hospice. Mr. McCollum enjoyed hunting and fishing. His daughter in law, Mrs. Anita McCollum, always took care of the family with compassion and was the daughter he always wished he would have. In addition to Mr. McCollum's parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- William Boyd McCollum.

Mr. McCollum is survived by his wife- Doris McCollum of Columbus, MS; sons- Michael (Anita) McCollum of Columbus, MS and William Henry McCollum also of Columbus, MS.
