Robert D. Mosley

Robert D. Mosley, 78 of Mathiston, MS passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at his residence.

A celebration of life will be held at Providence Baptist Church, Cleveland, MS at a later date.

Mr. Mosley was born July 10, 1932 in Cleveland, MS to the late James Hubert and Lee Lyons Mosley. He was a resident of Mathiston, MS for the past 22 years having moved from Cleveland, MS. He retired in 1988 from ANR Pipeline with 27 years of service. Mr. Mosley was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church, Mathiston, MS and a former member of Providence Baptist Church, Cleveland, MS. Mr. Mosley enjoyed taxidermy, hunting, fishing, loved to sing and spending time with his family, especially his grandson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Robert Keith Mosley; brothers, Clifton Mosley, J. D. Mosley and sister, Leatrice Mosley.

Mr. Mosley is survived by his wife of 35 years, Frances Thomas Mosley, Mathiston, MS; daughter, Roxanne (William) Pardon, Greenville, MS; sons, Thomas (Tammy) Gilbreath, Maben, MS; Stanley (Donna) Johnson, Barlow, KY; brothers, Haley (Frances) Mosley, Cleveland, MS; Earl (Charlotte) Mosley, Cleveland, MS; Rayburn (Jean) Mosley, Cleveland, MS; sisters, Lorine Steadman, Cleveland, MS; Laval Robinson, Ruleville, MS; Pearl (James) Hutchison, Mobile, AL; Doris (Robert) Andrews, Drew, MS; grandchildren, Ti (Thomas) Nolan, April (Andrew) Mixon, Katie Johnson, Crystal Bevelo, Hunter Gilbreath and Heather McCoy.
