Robert Warren Petersen, 71 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Petersen was born April 15, 1950 in New Haven, CT to the late Robert Warren and Anneliese Gleim Petersen.  He lived in several states including New Jersey, Florida and Mississippi.  Mr. Petersen was certified to work on paint spraying machines and worked in the construction industry, and retired in 2006.  He enjoyed working and fixing machines.  Mr. Petersen was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam era.

Mr. Petersen is survived by his wife Jonnie M. Petersen, Columbus, MS, step-son - Jon Williams; granddaughter - Taylor M. Copeland; great-grandchildren - Elliott M. Copeland and Zoe M. Copeland.
