Dr. Robert "Bob" Richardson, 80, of Starkville, MS passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, MS.

The family will hold services at a later date.

Mr. Richardson was born on October 11, 1937, to the late Horace and Ruth Downing Richardson in Shambaugh, Iowa. He married Nona Edith Lynn Richardson on June 5, 1959, in Midland, Texas. Mr. Richardson was a received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Yale University in 1968. He was a Professor at St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico and retired after 32 years.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife of 58 years- Nona Edith Lynn Richardson of Starkville, MS; daughter- Lynn Peterson of Starkville, MS; son- Ross Richardson of Ashland, MO; grandchildren- Grant Peterson, Lindy Peterson; sister- Mary (Ron) Reedy; and brother Ronald (Susan) Richardson.
