Roberta Pearson Boman, 90 of Caledonia, MS passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at her residence.

A visitation will be Saturday, September 18, 2021,  at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mel Howton officiating.  Interment will be at Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing

Mrs. Boman was born December 3, 1930, in Lamar County, AL to the late Robertus and Millie Moore Pearson.  She worked as a Recovery Room Tech at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS for 27 years and retired in 1996.  Mrs. Boman was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS.  She enjoyed watching TV (especially Gunsmoke) and spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boman was preceded in death by her husband – Dennis Boman, daughter – Sharon Newell; brother – Billy Herron and sister – Frances Pearson.

Mrs. Boman is survived by her daughter – Sheryl Sprouse, Caledonia, MS; grandchildren – Heather Carter, Matt Jaynes, and Cody Lollar; great-grandchildren – Hunter Hicks, Shannon Hicks, and Skye Hicks; sisters - Sue Gosa, Amory, MS and Helen Green, Sulligent, AL.

Pallbearers will be Matt Jaynes, Cody Lollar, Hunter Hicks, Duane Perkins, Dylan Hicks, and Dan Harris.  Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Culpepper, Jason Dyer, Doug Holliman, Billy Edmondson, Steve Hall, Mike West, Mike Edwards and Melvin Mordecai.  The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Baptist Hospice, Dr. Michael Duckworth, and his nurses, Dawn Grace, Dianne Triplett, and Nikki Brock.
