Obituary

Robin Eugena Brownlee Miller, age 66, of Starkville, MS went to Heaven to be with Jesus on March 16, 2025 while at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 28 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:30 P.M. at Mt. Vernon Church in the Axis Building, 200 Mt. Vernon Road, Columbus, MS 39702. Please follow the balloons.

Robin was born on October 17, 1958, to the late Charlie James Brownlee and the late Martha Sue Sides York.  First and foremost, Robin loved the Lord, was saved and couldn't wait to see Him face to face.  The best way to describe Robin was a free-spirited old hippie! She lived her whole life being selfless, compassionate, kind, and loving.

She loved to shop at Dollar Tree buying copious amounts of gifts for friends and family at holidays or "just because".  She's lived across the map from California, Oregon, communes in the mountains, many other states out West, and across to Virginia, East Coast, Florida, and Mississippi. She loved being married and she was several times.  She was an excellent cook and loved to cook for others whenever she got the chance.  A near fatal car wreck nearly ended her life in 1996.  Many, many months later, she continued her quest to spread her love, a little slower due to severe brain trauma, but just as freely as before, only she did have to learn to cook again.

Robin was a CPA in Virginia.  She loved making hanging prisms to give to others.  She met Red Skelton on a Trailway bus while out west and they spoke the whole trip.  Also, she owned a ferret as a pet.  Robin was Little Miss St. Augustine (Florida) in 1971.  What else could I say about Robin? LOTS! But mostly she loved with her whole heart and anyone who was blessed to know her would never soon forget her.  Peace and Love.  See you soon. We love you!

In addition to her parents, Robin is preceded in death by her son – Brandon Mason; sister – Sherry Miller; and grandparents – Frances and Eugene Sides and Robert and Beatrice Brownlee.

She is survived by her sister – Carla Miller; sister-cousin – Debbie (Mike) Bailey; grandchildren – Dylon Mason and Breanna Mason; great grandchildren – Kylie Grace, Serenity Faith, and Flora; brother-in-law – Andy Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff at NMMC hospital, hospice, and oncologist Dr. Jain and pulmonologist Dr. Stewart for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.  Robin had such a big heart, she could never turn down a request for support of any worthy cause.
