Roger L Lovick, age 76, of Columbus, MS, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 AM, Friday, October 28, 2022, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Reverend Sarah Windham and Dr. Danny Rowland officiating.

Roger was born on February 19, 1946, in Taylor County, GA to the late Vivian Bryant Lovick and Jennings Lovick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Lovick, sisters Susan Rowland and Roslyn Brown and brother, Wayne Lovick. Mr. Lovick was employed in civil service at Warner Robins Air Force Base GA. In 1980 he was working construction which eventually led him to Columbus, MS, where he worked until his retirement. Roger's interests included hunting, fishing, making knives, and being with family. One of his many talents was restoring old items and antique cars. He was always available to tackle any needs of the church from plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues to mowing grass, making crosses, and fixing doors.

Mr. Lovick is survived by his wife of forty years, Ellen, daughters Jenny Lovick and Debora (Dan) Arledge, and son Mitchell (Jessica) Lovick. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
