Ronald Eugene Wooten, 75 of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Sanctuary Hospice House, Tupelo, MS.

A graveside service will be Friday, March 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Bro. Wayne Fairchild officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Wooten was born September 8, 1946, in Thomasville, GA to the late Roy and Mildred Farmer Wooten.  He was a retired MSGT of the United States Air Force where he served for 23 years including service in Vietnam.  Mr. Wooten worked for 26 years with Civil Service as a photographer and was a member of the Lowndes County Wildlife Federation for 30+ years.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed traveling.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by his wife – Patsy Jo Wooten.

Mr. Wooten is survived by his sons – Kenneth (Donna) Wooten and Jeff (Kim) Wooten; grandchildren – Danny Wooten and Lindsey Hall; and sister – Linda Banks.

Pallbearers will be Kasey Yarbrough, Chris Yarbrough, Kenneth Wooten, Jeff Wooten, Danny Wooten and Dustin Houser. Honorary pallbearers will be Lindsey Hall and Shane Flowers.
