Ronald Loveday

Ronald Ray Loveday-born December 19, 1945 passed away September 17, 2026 at the age of 80. Preceded in death by: Paternal parent: Ray Loveday Maternal Parent: Helen Juanita Loveday Paternal grandparents: Arthur Carlton Loveday and Bertie Naomi Loveday and Audra Loveday (step-grandmother) Maternal grandparents: Tip Emory Reynolds and Nannie Estelle Reynolds.

Survived by wife Faye Loveday of 58 years, son Ronald Gregory Loveday (Michelle), Stephanie Renay Ward (Steve); grandchildren: Zachary Taylor Loveday, Zane Thomas Loveday, Blake Alan Ward and Mallory Kate Ward. Sisters Vickie Lynn Wilmore, Jannice (Mark) Hightower, Darlene (Melvin) Richard , brother-in-law, Lewis “Tad” Curry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ron served in the Air Force and has always loved his country. He helped organize and participated in Memorial Day, Veterans Day and 4th of July parades where he marched and still wore his uniform and loved participating in the patriotic services at church. He served as a deacon at Fairview Baptist and was in the a mens Sunday School class.

Mr. Loveday retired as a Finance Manager after 31 years with HSBC Corp. After retiring he started working in sales for Performance Marine for 25 years. Mr. Loveday was a member of the American Red Cross for 14 years and chairman of the board for 5 years. He was a member of The Lowndes County Wildlife Federation from 1972-2026 and served as Vice President for 24 years.

Ron was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved taking his ranger boat and going fishing in the morning then the afternoon was made for skiing & boating with his family. When hunting season came , it was all about duck, deer and turkey hunting.

Having 2 children and 4 grandchildren, he supported all of them by being there for football, baseball, fishing tournaments, tennis matches, softball , volleyball, piano recitals and school functions. He was very proud of all of them.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, 1131 North Lehmberg Road. A memorial service will be Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church , 127 Airline Road.
