Ronny Ray Adkins Ronny Ray Adkins, 54 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, November 28, 2011 at DCH – Northport, Northport, AL. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 6 PM – 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services for Mr. Adkins will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 1 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Robin Elmore officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Methodist Church Cemetery, Fayette, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Adkins was born August 5, 1957 in Columbus, MS to Sarah Burns Adkins and Ray Adkins. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS and was a truck driver. Mr. Adkins enjoyed motorcycles, camping, playing with his children and especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tasha Nicole Adkins. Mr. Adkins is survived by his spouse, Johnnie Adkins, Columbus, MS; mother, Sarah Adkins, Columbus, MS; sons, Ronnie Ray (Candie Marie) Adkins, Jr., Columbus, MS; John Adron Adkins, Columbus, MS; daughter, Dorothy Elizabeth (James) Wilson, Columbus, MS; brothers, Terry Adkins, Columbus, MS; Ricky Adkins, Columbus, MS; Joe Adkins, Columbus, MS; sisters, Charlotte Adkins, Millport, AL; Mary Price, Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Jamie Wilson, R. J. Wilson and J. P. Wilson; special friends, Andrew Smith, Lindsey Smith, Justin Richards, Kendra Tilley, Buddy and Theresa Wyers, Stanley and Joanne Williams and a host of nieces and nephews and close family friends. Pallbearers will be Andrew Smith, Justin Richards, Joe Adkins, Timmy Adkins, Drew Stephens and Johnny Stephens.
