James Ronald "Ronny" Harrison, 72, passed away on August 12, 2019, at his residence. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019, from 10-11AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, followed immediately by a memorial service at 11AM from the funeral home Chapel, with Bro. Bobby Patrick officiating.

Mr. Harrison was born September 04, 1946 in Columbus, MS, to the late James Harold Harrison and Catherine Burgin. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus and had retired in 2008 as the Chief Examiner for the Department of Banking and Consumer Finance for the State of Mississippi. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of Mt Vernon Church. He loved to travel, enjoyed riding motorcycles and working in his yard. A fun-loving family man, he enjoyed spending time with his family, including his furry family members.

Mr. Harrison is preceded in death by his father James Harold Harrison; his mother and step-father Catherine and William G. Burgin, Jr.; brother Billy Harrison; and step-sister Susan B. Rutledge.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Pam Middleton Harrison; son Lance (Jordan) Harrison of Athens, AL; siblings Robert "Bob" (Peggy) Burgin, William "Bill" G. (Terri) Burgin, III, Helen B. (Eric) Jensen; cousin Cheri (Tony) Smith; brother in law Allen (Debbie) Middleton; and nieces and nephews Sean (Danielle) Harrison, Ansley, Lacey and Sean Jr. Harrison, Paige Cassel, Haley Cummings and Josh Woodard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Loftis, Bobby Garner, Bobby Patrick, Allen Middleton, Tony Smith and Steve West.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Palm er Home, PO Box 746 Columbus, MS 39703.
