Rose Marie Wright, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, TN.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2019, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Wright was born February 19, 1936, in Columbus, MS to the late Lida Hannah Huff and Winston Huff. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Wright enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, flowers, and cooking. She was mother, MamaRee, MaRee, and Mrs.  Rose to many and she loved them as her own, welcoming everyone into her home. She enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Tenn Tom BassNGals, a member of North MS Emmaus Community, and Columbus Emmaus Community. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wright is preceded in death by her husband-John Wright; and sister- Willie Nell Upton.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her sons- Johnny (Carol) Wright and Randy Wright both of Columbus, MS; daughters- Teena (Bo) Harris and Ellen (Ray Gore) Wright both of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Ryan Wright, Jessica (Matt) Brown, Christy (Patrick) Lee, Haley Harris, RaeAnne (Justin) Dove, John Ross (Anna Cate) Wright, and Leah Harris; great-grandchildren-Austin Smith, Abbi Rae Dove, Brody Brown, Maxden Dove, Bentley Smith, Ryder Dove, Bryce Brown, and Carter Ross Wright; sisters- Lida June Upton, and Mary Hannah Huff; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Don Upton, Joe Upton, Darryl Upton, Daniel Upton, Tim Upton, Bobby Wright, and Frank Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be her Bunko buddies and her Sunday School Class at Fairview Baptist Church.
