Roy Edward "Bud" Burns, 74, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walter Butler officiating. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery, Millport, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Burns was born September 26, 1941 to the late Mary Lucy Blackston Burns and Joe Baily Burns in Columbus, MS. He worked in auto repair as a body repair man for over 30 years. Mr. Burns loved to fish and making willow furniture. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog- Bullet.

Mr. Burns is survived by his sisters- Doris (John) Daniel, Dorothy Burns, and Sarah Adkins, all of Columbus, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adam Prater, Rick Price, John Daniel Jr., Joey Adkins, Ronnie Adkins Jr., and John Adkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Carroll, John Daniel, Timothy Adkins, Charlie Price, Larry Blackston, and Matthew Thornbrough.
