Roy Lee Harris, 73 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Eastview Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Junior Eads officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Harris was born November 5, 1943, in Lowndes County, MS to the late Robert E. and Velma McCool Harris. He worked for Monroe Tufline Manufacturing as a machine operator for many years. Mr. Harris was a loving husband to his wife, children, and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his sisters – Peggy Harris, Dot Simpson, and Betty Clarke; brother – Robert E. Harris, Jr.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife – Brenda Montgomery Harris Columbus, MS; daughters – Tammy (David) Baucau Columbus, MS and Shelby Harris Columbus, MS; son – Travis Parker; sisters – Brenda Collins Starkville, MS, Cissy Moore Columbus, MS, Elaine Thompson Columbus, MS, and Joyce Eads Columbus, MS; brothers – Jerry Harris Columbus, MS, Sam Harris Columbus, MS, and Dee Harris Columbus, MS; Grandchildren – Myles (Tia) Greene, Myron Greene, Hunter Parker, Dalton Parker, and Matthew Baucom.
