Ruby Zell Hall, 92 of Grants Pass, OR formerly of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center, Grants Pass, OR.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Mt Zion Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Hall was born February 11, 1928 to the late James Wilford Smith and Maudie Victoria Taylor Smith in Lowndes County, MS.  She was a 1947 graduate of New Hope High School,  a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS, and worked as a telephone operator with South Central Bell for 25 years.  Mrs. Hall enjoyed camping in her leisure time.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband – Jobie Richard Hall; sisters – Shirley Duffer, Laverne Westbrook, and Willadean Junkins; brothers – Felton Smith and J.W. Smith.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her daughter – Ruby (Ernest) Carolyn Peters, Grants Pass, OR; grandchild – David (Jen) Peters, Seattle, WA; great-grandchildren – Natasha Peters and Madison Noelle Peters.
