Ruby Marshall McKnight, 91, of Weir, MS passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020, in Starkville, MS.

A small intimate memorial service was held at Weir Baptist Church Sunday, August 16th.

Mrs.McKnight will join her husband Robert Thomas McKnight in her final resting place at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS

Mrs. McKnight was born November 11, 1928, in Montgomery County, MS to the late Nellie Mansker and William Alexander Marshall. She was the head of her gardening club, a member of Eastern Star, and enjoyed riding horses. She was an animal lover especially her guineas, chickens, and peacocks. Mrs. McKnight was the owner of McKnights Grocery in Marks, MS, and later raised cattle with her husband R.T. McKnight. Mrs. McKnight attended Weir Baptist Church in Weir, MS where she was a member of the choir and a Sunday school teacher. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McKnight is preceded in death by her husband Robert Thomas (R.T.) McKnight and their youngest son, Maury McKnight.

Mrs. McKnight is survived by a son, Dr. Tom McKnight, two daughters, Marion (Sissy) McKnight Cooper, and Mandy McKnight Hawkins. She is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren
