Ruby Grace Weathers Minor, 88, of Steens, MS passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, at Windsor Place, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Friday, May 14, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating and Bro. David Honeycutt assisting. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Minor was born on November 26, 1932, in Steens, MS to the late Neppie Harris Weathers and Luther David Weathers.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Minor worked in Civil Service as a Contract Administration for 21 years. She was a former member of The Lions Club and she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Minor is preceded in death by her husband- James Minor; sister- Katie Irwin; and brothers- Roy Weathers, John Weathers, and Luther David Weathers, Jr.

Mrs. Minor is survived by her daughters- Judy (Terry) Nickoles of Columbus, MS, and Jan (Ronny) Holder of Steens, MS; son- James (Brenda) Minor of Ooltewah, TN; grandchildren- Charles Minor, Michael Minor, Christie Honeycutt, Chad Nickoles, Chantel McDill, Lindsey Jones, and Jameson Holder; 26 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws- Nell Grantham, Ann Minor, and Dot Weathers; and special friend- Joe Ables.

Pallbearers will be Charles Minor, Jay Minor, Chad Nickoles, Nathan Jones, Jameson Holder, and David Honeycutt. Honorary pallbearers will be Sunday School Class at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Dr. Rosenblatt, Dr. Fulcher, Renata Jennings, Carolyn Hackman, Raven Thomas, a nurse at the Arrington, Amy Jones, Therapist at the Windsor, and Tammy Samuels, a social worker at the Windsor.
