Ruby Virginia McCool Williams, 69 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Williams will be Friday, October 4, 2013 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. James Gardner officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Garden, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Williams was born October 6, 1943 to the late Sam and Notie White McCool in Pickens Co., AL. She lived in the Columbus area her entire life and was a waitress for 15 years most recently at Ryan's Restaurant, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Williams enjoyed bingo and cooking. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband - James Williams, sister - Opal Gay and brother - Eugene McCool. Mrs. Williams is survived by her sisters - Annie Grace McCool, Nellie Miller and Jewel Gay McCool - all of Reform, AL, brothers - Billy McCool, Tuscaloosa, AL, Johnny Ray McCool, Greenwood, MS, and Rayford McCool, Zion, AL, sister-in-law - Abigail Bolen, Columbus, MS, Step-sons - Gene Williams and Andy Williams of Jackson, MS, and a host of nieces and nephews.
