Ruth Boone, 92, of Coal Fire, Alabama, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 29, 2026.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS with Bro. Josh Dunn officiating. . Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Columbus, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home will be directing.

Ruth was born June 25, 1934, in Coal Fire, Alabama, to the late James Morris Jaynes and Sara Lee Perrigin Jaynes. She was a devoted follower of Christ and faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as travel, shopping, and a good ole club sandwich. Her greatest passion was serving the Lord. Ruth dedicated her life to spreading God’s love by visiting the sick, ministering in hospitals and nursing homes, and giving food to those in need. She served her community tirelessly until her body would no longer allow it. Ruth loved her family deeply, caring for her children and grandchildren until her very last breath. While Ruth’s spirit is with the Lord, her love, strength, and servant’s heart will live on through her loved ones and the countless lives she has touched. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Boone; son, David Boone; and brother, Bennie Warren Jaynes.

Ruth is survived by her son, Ricky Boone, daughter, Candi Blaylock (James), and Gwen Faggert (Dennis); grandchildren- Adam, Shannon, Terri, Misti, Brody, and Stormi; great grandchildren- Chase Garrett, Annalee, John Rilee, Bella, Ana, Harley, Gabe, Isabelle, Brandon, Kately, Kennedy, and Kollins; one great grandson- Colson.
