Ruth  Dunlap, 79, of Millport, AL passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at her residence.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 6-8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Friday, June 14, 2019, at 11 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jody Gurley officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Millport, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Dunlap was born January 8, 1940, in Sunny South, AL to the late Olga Lassiter and Theophelos Thrash. She was a member of First Assembly of God and loved her church and the Lord. She also volunteered with the church's food pantry feeding program. Mrs. Dunlap loved reading and gardening with flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Throughout her working career, she worked as a waitress, she also worked at BlueBell, Weyerhauser, and was a seamstress at Red Cap and Quality Aluminium. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dunlap is preceded in death by her sister- Lillie Reeves; and brother- Jerry Thrash.

Mrs. Dunlap is survived by her daughters- Kim (Joey) Ridings, Millport, AL, and Jackie (William) Donald, Summerdale, AL; sons- Steve (Sheila) Duncan, Shannon, MS and Ricky Mauldin, Millport, AL; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brothers- WJ Thrash, Dennis Thrash, and William Thrash.

Pallbearers will be Jason Duncan, Scott Gruber, Levi Reeves, Josh Reeves, Lance Higginbotham, and Braxton Atkinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Bart Williams and Dr. Slater Lowery.
