It is with sadness that the passing of Sallie Faye Ainsworth Simmons of Magee, Mississippi is shared. Sallie, born on July 3, 1943, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Floyd Ainsworth and Tina Bell Cox Ainsworth; and her sisters, Eva Bell Mozingo and Julia Ann Ainsworth. She is survived by: her children, Donald Clyde Simmons Jr. (Bernika) and Virginia Darlene Gardner (Grant); her grandchildren, Donald Simmons III, Sallie Metcalf (Griffin), Mary Merrill (Connor) and Tripp Gardner; her great grandchildren, Walker Metcalf, Jack Metcalf and Shepherd Merrill; and her brothers, Albert Floyd Ainsworth Jr. and Jacob Burton Ainsworth.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Merchant Cemetery.
