Sallie Mae Brown, 78 of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.
A memorial visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.
Ms Brown was born November 10, 1943, to the late Turner and Lorita Bell Atkins in Steens, MS. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Ms Brown worked for many years at Maxxium Medical, Columbus, MS in Quality Control. Her favorite band was the Rolling Stones and she was an avid Alabama football fan but most of all she loved her role as being a Nana. In addition to her parents, Ms Brown was preceded in death by her grandchild – Chase Bradford, and sister – Earlene Reeves.
Ms Brown is survived by her daughters – Lana Brown and Jean Barber; grandson- Chandler Zimmer; great-grandchildren – Henleigh Ruth, Maverick Bradford, and Marleigh Cate Bradford; grandson - Chandler Zimmer; granddaughter-in-law – Jessica Bradford; sister – Hazel Jones; nephews – Ken Blalock, Jimmy Jones, and Gary Jones; nieces – Suzanne Richardson, Leah Siragusa, Vickie Addison, and Larry Wilson; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
