Sallye Joyce McDaniel Wright, age 88, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, at Trinity Health Care, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will follow on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at 1:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating and Mr. Lamar Jones assisting. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Wright was born on August 8, 1929, in Noxubee County, MS to the late Renon W. and Bessie Lou House McDaniel. She had living in Columbus for the past 82 years and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Mrs. Wright loved caring for her family, friends, and pets. She worked as an R.N. for 50 plus years at various places. She truly enjoyed being able to help and care for others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- Wadie Odis Wright, and sisters- Sibyl McDaniel Andrews, and Johnnie McDaniel Guy.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her sisters- Lona Southerland of Columbus, MS, Mary Spruill of Caledonia, MS, and Connie Jones of Caledonia, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews and nephews-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Buckley, Dr. Warren Daniel, and her neighbors.
