Samuel "Woody" Wolford Crowe, age 75, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 10, 2025 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS.

The visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the church with Bro. Ty Danielson officiating.  Lowndes Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Crowe was born February 8, 1949 in Columbus, MS to the late W.F. and Amy Harkins Crowe. He was a U.S. Marine and Vietnam Veteran.  Mr. Crowe was also a member of the Shriners and Masonic Lodge, and was a former President of the Masonic Lodge in Columbus.  He loved hunting, fishing, and horseback riding, especially when he was with his grandchildren.  In addition, he was also an avid NASCAR and dirt track racing fan.  Mr. Crowe was a family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren.  His #1 favorite fan was his Yorkie, Roscoe, and he also enjoyed Betsy and Misty – his horse and donkey.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Crowe is preceded in death by his brothers – Dennis (Quebell) Crowe, Buford Crowe, and Jerry (Earline) Crowe; and sisters – Christine (Bobby) Brewer, Charlotte (Jackie) Burks, and Pat (Charles) Belcher.  He is survived by his wife – Brenda Crowe; daughter – Michelle (Aaron) Smith; son - Justin (Melissa) Crowe; grandchildren – Colton Smith, Kayley Smith, Lane Gartman, and Lila Crowe; sister-in-law – Betty Crowe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
