Sandra Jane Clegg passed away in Columbus on November 16, 2019, at the age of 73.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 5 at 2:00 pm at the Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus.

She was born in Berwyn, Illinois to Margaret and Perry Brennan and grew up in Lyons and St. Charles, Illinois, where she graduated from high school.  She attended nursing school but pursued a career in office administration and accounting.  In 1986 she moved to Mississippi and enjoyed her home in the country near Caledonia.  She worked for many years at Toshiba Office Products.  She loved to bowl and competed with her teams across the country.  She also enjoyed needlework, crocheting, watching the Chicago Cubs, her cats and western movies and tv shows.  She attended Flint Hill Methodist Church for many years.

Sandy is survived by her sister, Patricia Bechtold, a niece Michelle (Michael) Fitzgerald, her great-nephews Matt and Ben Fitzgerald, one aunt, Lorna Herbaly and several cousins.  She is also survived by her neighbors Eliana and Harold Critcher and their sons Cody and Jessie.  The Critcher family loved and cared for Sandy as if she was their own mother.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 5 at 2:00 pm at the Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus.  Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, 1 E. 33 ^rd St., 4 ^th floor, New York NY 10016.
