Sara Lynn Hollis passed away at her home in Columbus, MS on February 5, 2022, at the age of 63.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing interment.

She was born January 13, 1959, to the late Charles and Alene Miller. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1977 and received her Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas in 1981.  Sara taught over 25 years as an elementary teacher with the majority of her teaching career being at New Hope Elementary.  Along with her family, Sara leaves behind thousands of students that she taught and loved.  Other than spoiling her grandchildren, Sara's greatest joy in life was ensuring that her New Hope students were prepared to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. In her spare time, Sara loved traveling with her husband to visit their grandchildren and enjoyed talking to her best friends. She had a personality bigger than life and enjoyed putting a smile on her friend's faces.

In addition to her parents, Sara is preceded in death by her son, Conrad Michael Hollis.  She is survived by her husband, Eric Hollis, her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Kyle Crosby (Clinton, MS), her grandchildren, Ethan and Charlotte Crosby, and her sister, Becky Cooper (Wichita, KS) , along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Crane, Kyle Crosby, Keith Hayes, and Jeff Hollis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Hope and Lynn Wright.
