Sara Spinosa Sara Spinosa, 88 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sumner, MS with Rev. Dr. Jonathan Speegle officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Spinosa was born October 2, 1922 in Atlanta, TX to the late William and Ella Gibbons Ware. She was retired as a self-employed hotel owner for 35 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spinosa is preceded in death by her husband – Joe Joe Spinosa and son – John William Spinosa. Mrs. Spinosa is survived by her sons – Vincent Spinosa, Foley, AL, Joe (Mina) Spinosa, Madison, MS; daughters – Cathy (Rodney) Glover, Caledonia, MS, Frances Ann Spinosa, Jackson, MS; sisters – Oleta Kee, Frances Veal and Elizabeth Beck, all of Wichita Falls, TX; and grandsons – Arthur Glover and Joseph Spinosa.
