Sarah Ethel "Pud" Bunton, age 98, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018, at her residence.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Bunton was born on January 20, 1920, to the late Lucious Franklin and Margaret Melinda Godfrey Gilliam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- Arthur Ward Bunton, son- Charles David Bunton, and grandson- Erin David Porter.

Mrs. Bunton is survived by her daughters- Sharon Porter of Raleigh, NC, and Kathy Royce of Grand Rapids, MI; son- Ward Bunton of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter-in-law- Anna Bunton of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren- Tracie (Alan) Geurts, Dean (Elizabeth) Porter, Terry (Shelly) Porter, Darrin (Angie) Porter, Kristan Holley, Nathan (April) Bunton, Matthew Bunton, and Shannon (Brent) Payne; step-grandchildren- Shirley Barbee, and George (Jackie) Royce; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dean Porter, Terry Porter, Darrin Porter, Kyle Bunton, Chase Payne, and Noah Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be James Gerhart, Jack Gerhart, George Gerhart, Tony McColmbs, Ernie White and The Jones Family.
