Sarah Mildred Gay, 65, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, September 5, 2016, at University Medical Center, Jackson, MS.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7, 2016, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Living Faith Tabernacle Church, Columbus, MS.  A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 PM with Bro. James Gardner officiating at Living Faith Tabernacle Church, Columbus, MS. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Gay was born September 29, 1950, to the late Roy C. , Sr. and Mildred Simpson Elmore in Columbus, MS. She was full of life and loved her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband-Bobby Jean Gay.

Mrs. Gay is survived by her brother- Roy (Mary K.) Elmore, Jr., Aberdeen, MS; son-Billy Wayne Smith, Jr., Gordo, AL; sisters-Jean Jones and Patsy Elmore, both of Gordo, AL; grandchildren-Clarence Joseph Smith and Charity Michelle Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend-Lionel Gilmore.

Honorary Pallbearers will be James Montgomery, Josh Falls, Lionel Gilmore, Rowdie Smith, Jerry McDill, Vincent Lee, ICU Staff of University Medical Center, Jackson, MS, and Friends.
