Sarah LilliLou May McDill, 61 of Steens, MS passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at her residence. Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Armon McDill officiating. Interment will be in Vaughan Cemetery, Steens, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. McDill was born March 24, 1952 to the late William Paul and Wilma White in New Braunfels, TX and moved to Lowndes County 44 years ago from Louisiana. She was a homemaker and worked for Caledonia Mfg as a seamstress for 10 years. Mrs. McDill attended the Assembly of God church, enjoyed gardening and crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. She liked playing cards, Tetris and Bejeweled. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDill was preceded in death by her brother - Paul White, Jr. Mrs. McDill is survived by her husband of 44 years - Waymon Earl McDill, Steens, MS; daughters - Angela Rena Morris, Steens, MS, Brenda Kay O'Mary, Beaverton, AL; sons - Armon David McDill, Caledonia, MS, Scott Keith McDill, Steens, MS; grandchildren - David Earl McDill, Bianca Marie Lux, Paetra Chyanne McDill, Emily Nicole, McDill, Hunter Alexander Morris, Brandon Dakota Morris, Paige O'Mary and Logan O'Mary; great-grandchildren - Kadie Welch, Collin Howell and great-grandchild-to-be - Brailee Grace McDill; sister - Theresa Gregg, Columbus, MS; brothers - Jerry E. York, Columbus, MS, Frank J. York, Steens, MS, Rev. Phillip White, Columbus, MS, Willie P. White, Tuscaloosa, AL and Wade P. White, TX. Pallbearers will be Chad McDill, Shay McDill, Shawn McDill, Timothy White, B.J. Rutherford and Bryant Simpson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Mason and Steven Simpson.
