Sarah Johnson Romans, 81 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at her residence.

Visitation for Mrs. Romans will be Monday, February 14, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Mel Howton officiating.  Interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Romans was born on January 20, 1941, to the late Lewis "Bud"  and Mary Johnson in Amory, MS.  She was a member of Caledonia Church of Christ.  She worked as a short-order cook at Columbus Air Force Base for several years.  Mrs. Romans enjoyed going to the flea market and auctions.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Romans was preceded in death by her husband – Eddie Earl Romans, and her brother – William Johnson.

Mrs. Romans is survived by her daughter – Mary (Stuart) Kinard; sons – Michael (Toni) Romans, Kenneth (Shawnna) Romans, Tommy Romans; 10 grandchildren – Scott (Sonja) Volheim, Alan Romans, Austin Romans, Bradley (Alex) Romans, Eric Romans, Jacob Romans, Sarah Beth (Logan) Bell, Anna Kate Kinard, Channing (Tyler) Peebles and Alexis Willingham; 7 great-great-grandchildren – Gabe Volheim, Mia Volheim, Jesse Louise Romans, John Mason Peebles, Scott Romans, Teagan Romans, and Porter Peebles.
