Sarah Martha Shaw, 79, of Columbus, MS died Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2016, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Graveside Services will follow at 4:00 PM at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Vernon, AL with Bro. Carl Shelton officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Shaw was born October 1, 1936, to the late Johnnie Nickoles and Gladys Helen Hutcherson in Lowndes County, MS.  Mrs. Shaw was the wife of the late Jack J. Shaw of Columbus. She was employed by United Technologies in Columbus for many years before her retirement; and she was a member of Community Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother-James Nickoles, granddaughter-Bridgett White; and great-granddaughter-Jayden Winston.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by her sons-Larry Shaw; Eddie (Sonya) Shaw; and Kenneth (Aimee) Shaw, all of Columbus, MS; daughter-Joyce White, Columbus, MS. sisters-Hazel (Carol) Shelton and Mary Grace (Virgil) Blaylock; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
