Scott Arnold McCormick, 58 of Columbus, MS passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 at his residence.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Steve Blaylock officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. McCormick was born March 1, 1967 in Hartford, CT to Nelda Langston McCormick and the late Patrick McCormick.  He worked as a cosmologist and owned several shops in the 1980's and was currently employed at International Paper.  In addition to his father, Patrick McCormick, he is preceded in death by his grandparents- Mr. and Mrs. Emilen Fournier, and Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Langston.

In addition to his mother, Mr. McCormick is survived by his wife – Sheila Vernon McCormick; son – Holden McCormick; step-son – John Tyler Helton; step-daughter – Callie Helton; and his brother – Keith (Suzanne) McCormick.
