Sharrion Ivy Connell, 79, of Millport, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at her residence.

There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Columbus Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Christopher Atkinson and Pastor Larry Owens officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, is entrusted with all arrangements.

Mrs. Connell was born on October 8, 1945, in Fork Rucker, Alabama, to the late Mary Francis Ruggs and Andrew Hubert Ivy. She attended Columbus Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where she had various positions. Mrs. Connell was a Pink Lady who volunteered at Baptist Memorial Hospital- GT in Columbus, MS. She volunteered with Loaves and Fishes. Mrs. Connell worked for many years at South Central Bell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Connell is preceded in death by her grandmother, Lulie Ruggs, and aunt, Virginia Rainwater.

Mrs. Connell is survived by her husband, Norman Connell; son, Norman Lee Connell, Jr., MD (Lisa Fairchild, MD); daughter, Tabitha Connell (Paul, Jr.) Taylor; grandchildren- Cody Connell, Emmeline Connell, Piper Connell; Ellery Connell, Samuel Connell, Paul Taylor, III; Sarah (Dylan) Taylor Simmons, Luke Taylor; and one great grandchild- Ivy Simmons.
