Shelba "Jodie" Nabors, 77, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

A visitation will be Friday, April 9, 2021, from 5:30-7:30 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, Pickensville, AL with Bro. Tim Jones officiating. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery Ethelsville, AL.

Mrs. Nabors was born on May 19, 1943, in Little Rock, AR to the late Agnes Sanders Lawson and Joe Lawson. Mrs. Nabors worked at Columbus Light and Water for 10 years, and she retired from Lowndes County Circuit Clerks office after 28 years.  She was a Christian and an active member at First Baptist Church, Pickensville, AL. She taught Ladies Sunday School for several years. Mrs. Nabors loved her family but had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandson. Mrs. Nabors was a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all. Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. "Proverbs 31:30 KJV. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nabors is preceded in death by her husband- Philip Lee Nabors; sister- Rita Brown, and grandchild- Bradley Thompson.

Mrs. Nabors is survived by her daughters- Kelli (Tony) Klostermann of Columbus, MS, and Rita (Charlie) Gregory of Columbus, MS; son- John (Amanda) Nabors of Vancleave, MS; grandchildren- Lawson Nabors, Lara (Chad) Frasher, Riley Potts, Trey Klostermann, Kendal Klostermann, Katie Nabors, and  Mary Ashley Nabors; great-grandchild- Walker Potts; and a host of nieces and nephews.
