Sherrie Bates, 52 of Little Rock, AR passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at University Of Arkansas For Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR. Visitation will be Monday, June 16, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Bates was born September 20, 1962 in Lubbock, TX to the late Thomas & Ida Mae Renfro Bates, she moved to Little Rock, AR 9 months from Myrtle, MS. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with children in the neighborhood and being online with her Facebook friends. Mrs. Bates favorite time was spent in Bible Study. She was preceded in death by her sisters - Wanda Bates and Bonita White. Mrs. Bates is survived by her husband - Mark Boock, Little Rock, AR, brothers - Tommy (Tammy) Bates, Mobile, AL and Ronnie Bates, Millport, AL, step-sons - Derrick Boock and Bruce Boock, Ecru, MS, a host of nieces and nephews.
