Sherri Thornell, age 58, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at her residence.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018, from 4:00 – 5:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will follow on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 5:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating.

Ms. Thornell was born on December 19, 1959, in Holyoke, MA to Dannie Cole and the late Connie Sloan. She was a long time employee of Mexican Kitchen, Columbus, MS and she loved her grandchildren very much. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband- Michael A. Thornell, Sr.

Ms. Thornell is survived by her son- Michael A. Thornell, Jr. of Columbus, MS; daughter- April Sellers of Meridian, MS; 6 grandchildren; father- Dannie (Alice) Cole of Crestview, FL; step-father- Billie Sloan of Columbus, MS; and brother- Jerry Cole.
