Sherry Ann Franks, 78, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, September 4, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Bro. Wes Jones officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Franks was born April 20, 1939, in Chickasaw County, MS to the late George and Jeffie Johnson Criddle. She loved her grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Franks had a big heart and cared for everyone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Joe Franks.

Mrs. Franks is survived by her daughters- Resa (Jim) Spencer of Columbus, MS, and Mitzi Hughes of Columbus, MS; sons- Derrick Franks of Columbus, MS, and Gary (Wendi) Franks of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Christie (Shawn) Forrester, Kevin (Paige) Spencer, Tori (Bo) Edmiston, Drew (Ashley) Hughes, Megan Chapman, Gabe Franks, Morgan Franks, Julia Franks, and Anna Franks; 6 great grandchildren; and her sister- Sue Robertson of Meridian, MS.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Spencer, Bo Edmiston, Gavin Forrester, Gabe Franks, Drew Hughes, and Shawn Forrester.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent but if you would please make a donation to Community Baptist Church or the charity of donor's choice.
