Shirley Linn Bowen, 81, of Caledonia, MS, passed away on October 25, 2025 at Diversicare of Amory.

The visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Mitchell McElhenney officiating. Burial will follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.  Lowndes Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Bowen was born May 29, 1944 in Columbus, MS to the late Robert and Audrene Vail Linn.  She worked at Caledonia Elementary School as a secretary for many years.  Throughout her life, she also worked at Baptist Hospital on the 2nd Floor and numerous car dealerships.  Mrs. Bowen was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and loved playing the guitar, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowen is preceded in death by her husband – Bobby Bowen; daughter – Amy Rye Wyers; grandson – Bailey Montana Jacobs; brother – Jesse Cauthen "JC" Linn; and sister – Josephine Linn.  She is survived by her sons – Gary (PJ) Jacobs and Robert Brian Jacobs (Andrea); step daughter – Brenda Bowen Golden; grandchildren – Kristin (Kevin) Pulley, Elizabeth Jacobs (Chris), Brook Nethery (Austin), Lauryn Nethery, Cheyne Nethery, Robert Linn (Amber) Jacobs, and Thomas Nathan (Lillie) Wheeler; 13 great grandchildren; aunt – Jean Lockhart; uncle – Bobby Joe Vail; and numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Robert Linn Jacobs, Austin Baird, Chris Lucky, Thomas Nathan Wheeler, Harold Wayne Partain, and Mitch Wiggins.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Lejand Bailey Wheeler, Robert Linn "RJ" Jacobs, Jr., Kinleigh Farley, Addy Farley, Kamden Jacobs, Kaylynn Pulley, Jackson Pulley, Carsyn Pulley, Noah Pulley, Electra Pulley, Gary Hill, and Wail Alnas, MD.
