Ms. Shirley Vowell Burt, 74, of Hamilton, AL passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at her residence in Columbus, MS.

The visitation will be Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM at South Hamilton Baptist Church, Hamilton, AL.  Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM at South Hamilton Baptist Church, with Bro. David Smith Officiating.  Lowndes Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services.

Mrs. Burt was born November 2, 1947, to the late Vernon Vowell and Eva Vowell in Lambert, MS.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burt is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Burt.

Mrs. Burt is survived by her sons – Jon (Robyn) Burt, Kevin Burt, and Ritchie Burt, grandchildren – Lauren Burt, Andrew Burt, Austin Burt, Leanna Burt, Logan Burt, Larra Burt, Rilynn Burt, Maddie Burt, and Ryan Burt; Great-grandchildren – Braden Burt, Emmett Burt, Brynley Burt, and Lillie Mae Neece; and brother Dennis Vowell
